MDG 1st Runway: Preview

Malaysia's first online reality model search show has gone down to top 12 in Season 2 and it was the girls' first public appearance on a runway in Mist Club Bangsar. I was privileged enough be part of the show, having first hand as well as behind the scene previews.

On Monday, the girls knew that they have to give their best shot on the runway because it was just hours away before the SMS voting will be closed. Elimination was the following day (you all should know the result by now though). It was a night of fun gathering, delicious food, fantastic prizes and photos taken for cherishable memories and on top of that, you can always expect something special with Digi around. It was also a night of enlightenment when we were the first batch to be introduced to brand new function offered by Digi Telecommunication.

Digi Telecommunication Sdn Bhd together with Microsoft have started offering Windows Live Messenger via handphone to Digi subscribers starting yesterday for a 2 month trial. Digi subscribers is now made possible to chat with their friends and family via handphone apart from their desktop PC, Smartphones or PDA. I thought it was a brilliant service offered by Digi for people like me who always chat online and the compatible mobile phones for now are also not of the high end models which made it even more practical for most users.

Anyway, coming back to the party, as most bloggers gathering would be, we had great food @ Friendster Cafe of course. Spotlight was on Nigel when he wrote his "hungry" status at the big MSN "status board". The MC, Jonathan, who was quick to notice it, made fun of him almost the entire session. LOL =D

Food was served and we had a free flow of beer. Digi was indeed very generous in providing us with the food and beverage. They must have known that bloggers are really into it.

Soon after, we were introduced to the new MSN service offered by Digi and was guided step by step on how to operate it. There was also a funny video that help to promote the new service.

Then, came to the part where not only bloggers would be excited of, but anyone else would do. Freebies with games and lucky draws!! There were plenty of goodies to give away and that includes, headsets, pendrives, webcams, oakley and rayban glasses as well as coca-cola caps!! Wow!! I was impressed!!

It wasn't a battle of the sexes though but one supposed to be the angel who agrees with anything and the devil who are supposed to object with everything!! We also had this MSN emoticon impersonate and finally wrapped up with the final lucky draw.

Laptop Reformated!!

Thanks to Ken, I've finally once and for all settled my laptop for good!! Reformated the whole system and everything is back to day 1. Well, I thought it would be a good clean up for my desktop though but I think, things are getting back to square one already.

Anyway, Bloggers' Nite Out with Digi @ Friendster Cafe + Malaysian Dreamgirl First Public Runway Appearance @ Mist Club will be up as soon as I get my hands on my photoshop. Nuffnang Music Bash 09 is here and another exciting and funtastic party to look forward to amidst all the stress (if you have any).

.140309. Thanksgiving Lunch @ Jaya Palace, Wisma LYL PJ

After 4 days without my precious laptop, I'm almost lost with whatever I have been doing. Seriously, I can't really remember what I have to blog about. Well, I just got home from Nuffnang's Bloggers' Nite Out with Digi and I shall reveal the happenings there tomorrow (hopefully).

Man Utd just lost 1-4 to Liverpool and I'm a little disappointed with their performance though. Pitty my friend Joshua who won himself an all expenses paid trip to Man Utd only to see his favourite team being trashed!! But, I don't mind going though, even to see them lose.. LOL

Anyway, forget about my happenings in the past weeks. I shall update about this afternoon's lunch. It was a thanksgiving lunch invited by my church member for having performed on their wedding day. It was just a show of their appreciation for those who have helped them and blessed their wedding ceremony.

When I first googled this restaurant called Jaya Palace, I was quite surprised to see many, have already blogged about this place. Apparently, the review is quite good and I was having some doubts until I tasted the food there myself this afternoon. I thought that the food was really good!! The modern-chinese concept restaurant did impressed me not only with their delicious menu, but also the interior design and as a package of the entire restaurant.

Owh well, here's what we have (before I rushed off halfway for singing practise)...

.120309. Quick Updates (while my laptop is still in ER)

While my laptop is still being examined in the ICU, here's a quick update of what has happened, is happening and going to happen. I believe this week, and next, is going to be pretty busy. Lots of things coming up until I'm lost with my own schedule.

Past 2 days - Was in Ken's office recovering my laptop data and thank God, everything is still there while I need to back them up in my external HDD. Nuffnang's Dragonball Evolution movie premiere @ One Utama GSC.

Today - Nothing much I can do without my laptop now. Going for futsal and nasi lemak with Tock and Yatz as planned tonight.

Just received invitation from Nuffnang for Bloggers' Nite Out with Digi this Saturday @ Friendster Cafe, Damansara Perdana. Will you be there? =)

Kena Virus

Gosh..... Can anyone like slap me on my face so that I can wake up from this horrifying experience??

I just got home from One Utama after meeting up with Beverly, CheeWei, Sandra, Grace and Yvonne. We had lunch at this quite-a-new cafe called Garden. Quite similiar setting with Full House, which I have yet to visit though. Had a great lunch and the price was fairly reasonable for the quality of food you get. (photos coming up soon coz I'm damn sad now)

My usual routine when I come home and into my room was switching on my laptop and keying in my password of course. When it finished loading, I was wondering why my desktop items has reduced by almost 80%, leaving only the basic icons there. I thought to myself, must be something wrong with the system and I decided to shut it down and restarted it.

Moments later, I come back to my laptop and once again I found my desktop with the same amount of icons but this time, all well arranged and aligned to the left of the screen. I knew something was wrong already.

*moral behind this, backup every single file whether it is important or not. You'll never know when is it coming your way*

I called a good friend of mine, Ken, who's very good in all this technical stuffs and I asked him "Hey bro, I on my laptop and found out that all my files in the desktop gone already. Why ah?"

Straight away he responded, "Owh!! Kena virus d!!" I was like "GOSH!! WT?? Then how?? Why like that one? Can recover anot wan?"

Fortunately he said can, but you have to find a person with really good technical skills (that's him). LOL =D *finger crossed* Let's hope he can really do something about it tomorrow and help me recover all the files. It's not the photos that I'm worried for but there are some important documents that I have in desktop which I did not back it up (yet).

The best part was, my friend, Diese, was just talking to me over msn last night about backing up your files in HDD and little did I know that this was coming in the way.

Fun Gathering

.310109. Chinese New Year Day 5 @ Os Residence

Finally, I'm coming back to my chinese new year post. LOL. Just a few more to go. But before that, I had a bad football game just now. It was a inter-neighbourhood football match in Desa Parkcity and our team lost, missing the opportunity to enter the semi finals. Owh well, we played well though. Perhaps a little unlucky.

On the 5th day of CNY, a few of my cell members gathering at Os place for a simple makan + wine + monopoly. It was pretty fun and it's my 2nd time playing with them. I learned my lesson in the first game though. At the start, I was kind of monopolizing the game only to be swept away by Juni at the end of the game thanks to a cunning guidance from Os who was well bankrupt by then. Anyway, we had great fun that night.

Chap Goh Mei @ Souled Out

Wooot~ If you still remember, I once mentioned about me attending this Chinese New Year celebration in Souled out with a few bloggers thanks to Alice George Communication again. Well, it has been very encouraging for me to be invited again to Souled Out knowing that the staffs there are really very friendly and they'll give you the warmest hospitality.

It was my first time celebrating Chinese New Year there and it was totally amazing to have everything in one. What I meant was the food there was delicious as always and the CNY setting brought out the celebration mood. Not only that, we had yee sang, the auspicious dish that many look forward to during Chinese New Year and Souled Out even invited special performances by kids from China to do acrobats and stunts. If you are not done with that, we also had lion dance performance which was my all time favourite for CNY and to round up the fantabulous night, the finale was litting up of 6 long red crackers before ending with a spectacular 3 minutes fireworks!!

That night was a total blast and in fact it was the best celebration I had this year!! All in one!! Here's some photos to show you...

Here's a charity project brought to you by Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management of Sunway University College.

Come, let's lend a helping hand to the School of Act which is located at Jinjang Utara, Kepong.

Founded by: Pastor Jonathan (Established in 2000)

Objectives:

*Help put children back in school
*Raise funds for long houses
*Pay monthly bills, school fees, food and other everyday expenses and necessities

Event Details:

The trial baking is just a simple process in showing how to bake and decorate a cupcake.

The themes for workshops are:-
1. True Love (14th March)
2. Flower Power (21st March @ 1300)
3. Healthy Lifestyle (Carrot and Raisins on 28th March @ 1300)

One session cost RM 30 but if you join 2 sessions at a time it cost RM 50 only and IT'S ALL FOR A GOOD CAUSE. Do help spreading the word around!!

Matthew First Birthday

The last time I celebrated a kid's birthday was last year September when I celebrated Joshua's 2nd birthday!! Last Saturday, it was Matthew who finally turns 1!! Proud daddy Jason and mommy MooiLi invited the cell members to join in the celebration and we were treated with lots of yummy food!! The roast pork and chicken was specially fantastic together with the super nice chilli.

Remembering MooiLi once bought him a mickey mouse toy thingy back from the States, I decided to buy Matthew a Mickey soft toy hoping that he would like it. To my surprise, Mooi Li told me that that was his favourite!! I was happy that I got him the right gift!! Apparently, the cake that afternoon was also a Mickey Mouse design. LOL

Stepping Into The Unknown

It's a Friday night/Saturday morning and Euphoria (Ministry Of Sound) is having Jungle Jerry as their guest DJ tonight. Zouk KL on the other hand is having DJ Sinden (UK) and Lapsap for the Adidas House Party. I think everyone has gone down to Zouk and I'm pretty sure is jam packed at the entrance of it. Owh well, there wasn't as much crowd as I would have expect in MOS though. Quite an unusual sight to have there. Was a litte too tired and decided to skip Zouk KL and head home to rest. Tomorrow will be another long homey day!!

Shoot In "M"

I was browsing through my folders of photos just then before one of it struck me to come up with this random thoughts I have in mind.

I have been shooting with a DSLR for a year now and I must admit that I still have a lot of catching up to do. Carrying a DSLR camera doesn't make one a pro or it does not mean he/she is good. Niether do I.

It was back then during my internship in a web solution company that I found my passion and interest in photography which eventually led me to blogging. Then, I did not know how far I would and could go but here I am today still blogging and ever loving to shoot. I was contemplating whether to buy a point-and-shoot compact camera or a digital-single-lens-reflex camera then before my roommate (Brian, a semipro photographer then) gave me his 2 cents worth upon my dilemma.

I made my decision on a Nikon d40. I did not regret. At all.

When I finally got hold of my new camera then, Brian thought me the basics. Shutter speed. Aperture. ISO. The list goes on... The only thing that I remember him saying clearly is SHOOT ALL THE WAY WITH "M" (Manual mode). I thank him for that or else I would have never learned to fast. So effectively.

Honestly, the key and the most important way to learn shoot is really to shoot in manual mode. You have to play around with the ISO, shutter speed and aperture as much as you would want to. When shooting a lot is what you have done, practise makes perfect will then make sense to you. You will be able to get results you want. The feel of every single photo that you desire to get. Oh well, that's my 2 cents worth on shooting in "M".

.200209. Work In Progress @ Bangsar Shopping Complex

If have not already know, Work In Progress Cafe/Bar in BSC is a sister company of Souled Out in Hartamas and 7atenine in Ascott Hotel. Last Friday, I was invited to shoot for their closing down revamp party and many of their loyal regulars were also invited for a free flow of food and drinks. And of course, that night was really about free flow of beer and MACALLAN whiskey. The highlight of that "Rob the House" themed party was the auction of WIP's furniture and also the full of fond memories' JUKEBOX which eventually reached RM 16,000 of the final bid.

The co-owner of WIP Fred and Michelle promised a whole new exciting concept restaurant and bar that is yet to be named. Apparently, there would be a "naming" contest up on line soon. If you are a fan of WIP, SOULED OUT or even 7ATENINE, you wouldn't want to miss a chance to win a dining session in the brand new restaurant coming up after the revamp. Stay tuned for the details though.

WIP is tentatively closed from now and when it's reopened, I'll let you all know again... Till then, here are some photos that I took that night...

They Need Your Blood

Blood banks in Malaysia have always been in need of blood donors for it has insufficient blood in the bank. According to Deputy Director of the National Blood Centre Dr Faraizah Abdul Karim, during festive season in 2002, there were only around 450 units of blood available in the centre which has the capacity to hold up to 5,000 units. The minimum requirement for Klang Valley alone is between 1,200 to 1,500 units of blood. To cater for this demand, the National Blood Centre actually requires about 300 blood donors daily. Statistics shown a very low percentage of donors donating blood every year.

Think about it for a moment, your blood may not only save the lives of your loved ones but other people who are loved. Drop by to HELP University College and donate your blood. The community needs your aid.

If you're a fan of Asian delicacies, here's a place you would not want to miss out trying. Tamarind Hill Restaurant is one of the first contemporary Siam and Burmese restaurant in the dining scene. Marking its 10th year in the scene, Tamarind Hill is now re-opened in Jalan Sultan Ismail, just opposite Life's Centre or next to Menara KFC, one of the most spectacular and exclusive private hill top properties in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. If you're not convinced enough, they are also the winner of "The Best Asian Cuisine" by the Hospitality Asia Platinum awards in 2003-2004.

I was lucky enough to have been invited with few other friends to attend their reopening media preview and food tasting. Special thanks to Alice George Communication for inviting and also Federico Asaro, the founder together with Maple Loo, Director of Marketing Communications for having us. The restaurant offers a really cosy environment for both indoor and outdoor seats. It's interior landscaping is really well planned and the candle litted around creates a really romantic atmosphere. That night we were served fine-dining style and I was pretty impressed with their really unique dishes.

Continuing from my bloggers meet up yesterday, I went for a meeting with my church YA people at Ps Lee Choo's house before heading to Taylors College for their Valentines Special Night!! It was an event organised entirely by the students of Hotel Management!! Even the cooks, waiter and waitresses, bar tenders, Emcee and performers are the students themselves. I must say that I was really impressed with what they have came up with!! It was brilliant!! *applause*

That night, the dinner was served fine dine style and as their photographer (thanks to Sandra who invited me), it was a privelege to be served as well!! LOL What kind of fine dine dinner that offers the photographers food as well!! (As in sitting together with them for the fine dine!!) haha.. Of course, I knew one of the organisers as well!!

Happy Valentines Day to all!! Err.. I mean yesterday!!

Since I'm not celebrating Vday with anyone special, I thought it would be great to meet up with the rest of the Malaysian Dreamgirl bloggers for lunch. After a random planning, half of us met up in One Utama while the rest had their own plan yesterday. Huai Bin had event in Sunway while Angela had plans with her bf. And of course, the rest of them are from out station. The closed audition just over and we had our top 12 selected already!! Yesterday, the 5 of us had lunch in a quite a new restaurant in One Utama called New York Deli. I only seen this cafe in Singapore and I thought of trying it and so we ended up there. I would say that the prices there are quite reasonable, not too expensive. The menu is really tempting. They have this thing called "diet friendly" and also "seriously sinful", which means really fattening! Haha..

We ordered a few different meals to try and I thought it was ok!! Simon had a "big big breakfast" which Diese thought we can prepare it from home. Both Deb and Diese had Smoked Salmon while I tried their Cheesy Chicken!! Quite nice. However, the seriously sinful Smoked Cheese Balls is ok only, nothing special!!

This is the first quarter plan of my Valentines Day this year!! After One Utama, I went to my church's Pastor's house for a meeting. Then, I went to Taylors College Valentines Dinner @ Taylors PJ Campus before heading to Zouk at night for their Big Love Valentines Special @ Zouk Mainroom where I met Gary (Cao Ge), famous Taiwanese Singer from Malaysia. It serves intenational cuisines inspired by Chinese, Tibetan, Vietnamese and Western vegetarian styles. Dubbed as the "new age" vegetarian restaurant, they believe in spreading the goodness of the fresh and natural inrediens cooked in a contemporary, fine dining style that gives diners a wholesome and healthy experience.

I believe most of us who are cartoon or anime lovers, or even those who enjoy reading comics when they were young would know or at least heard of the comic called Dragonball!! When I was young I did not really read or watched the anime before though. I only managed to watched it last year when I came across a "half price best buy" for a few selected anime DVD's in a video store in Sunway Pyramid. I bought all 3 sets of Dragonball, Dragonball Z and Dragonball GT!!

Imagine, I only get to watched Dragonball when I'm like 23?? LOL!! +D It's never too late though!! I seriously enjoyed it alot and I boil through the night till morning. I was kind of excited when I heard the movie Dragonball is coming out soon. Yet again, Nuffnang is having a movie screening for it and of course it would be one of those I wouldn't want to miss.

Above is a picture I've taken in Putrajaya using low shutter speed to perform my "Kame Hame Ha" using the light from my handphone!! Of course, the "kame hame ha" lines were drawn using the handphone light (and very low shutter speed on the camera) and with the help of my friend, he created quite a noob and doesn't seem powerful "kame hame ha". Just to add some effects to it, I added in some lens flare using PS to bring in some ummphh to it!! LOL

For those of you who have yet to watched Dragonball, the anime!! Go get a set of it and enjoy!! =D

A month ago, I went for a food review in this restaurant and I thought the place was pretty cool. It has quite a good ambience for a chilling dinner and it has both indoor and outdoor seats. It is another restaurant under the Crystal Jade group. Some familiar faces were there as well!!

The food there are not too bad and if you are the kind of person who likes to try something different, here's the place!! We had westernised Salmon Yee Sang to start off the menu. Something really different as we are so used to the ingredients in our normal yee sang. One of the most recommended dish of the night will be the Braised Lamb Shank!! For only RM 35, you get a really good portion of it and I thought it was really worth the money for its taste and portion!! After the yee sang, we had a mini fashion show as well before continuing with the rest of the menu.

Expensive Siu Yuk Rice

As much as anyone loves to eat anything, how much would you pay or do you think what you are paying is worth the money?? Let's forget about hotel or posh restaurants. I'm not too sure all of us heard of it but I'm pretty sure if you are a food hunter, you should have heard of the famous siu yuk rice in pudu!! Well, the last time I heard of it, 5 of my friends went there they ate rm100 ++. Just char siew and chicken.

My family was there just hours ago and they thought of trying it after hearing much of their friend's recommendation. They packed one individual siu yuk rice for me and I was super stunned to hear that my pack of siu yuk rice cost RM 14.20!! That's their standard price for individual pack. No wonder they ate RM 100 ++ in total!! Walao!! That's like the most expensive roast pork rice I've ever eaten.

My parents said it was nice and I though the same though. Their layer of skin is pretty crispy but I think the layer of fats is really very "jelak" after you have eaten the 6th or 7th piece. It was only the chilli sauce that helped me finish all the siu yuks up. Seriously, very jelak! Maybe it would be nicer if we eat there and then!! I don't know.. Well, at least for me, it's nice but it's seriously pretty much over priced!! Owh well, that's just a quick random thought and update of my lunch I just had and to those who want to try, it's just somewhere behind Times Square and behind Shaw Parade (Pudu).

KY just reminded me... The shop is called "Wong Meng Kee"!! Bon appetite there!!

It's the final day of chinese new year. Chap Goh Mei is always referred to as a day where you will see young girls 'throw' mandarin oranges into the river with some messages hoping to find their 'true love' or what not lover. Anyway, for me, it only marks the end of a wonderful festive season!! And every year, I would only go to Petaling Street to watch the lion dances there!! Every Chap Goh Mei, there will be a few troupe of lion dance and also dragon dance that would perform in front of Kiew Brother's Shop, along that road.

Anyway, my last update on the chinese new year stopped at day 3 and here's what I have left to update!! Was really busy for the past weeks with photoshoots, house visitings, farewell and other gatherings. Would probably start updating them tomorrow or the day after!! =D

Just got home not long from Tuesday Night Prayer Meet in church and it was another great sharing today by Yoshua who touch on the topic raising up a new generation in prayer!! Thanks Jin Iy for a wonderful worship lead.

Anyway, here's the updates for my day 3 of chinese new year. Every year I would have get together house visiting with my primary school mates and this year is no exception. I woke up around 10.00am and had some biscuits for breakfast. Got myself changed and headed off to Mun Fai's house about 11.30am after fetching Kenneth. It was our first stop. Right after that, I headed off to my cell leader's house for my 5th lou sang gathering before my eventual 6th the same day at night. Had a great time meeting up with my cell members and church friends there and eventually we had a group photo with our chinese costumes!!

After a fine lunch in my cell leader's house, I went off and joined my ex primary school mates again in Taman Desa. After the house visitings, we had dinner in Lit Heong Restaurant in Kepong and right after the pretty filling dinner, we continued house visiting in my house. Had a few "sessions" before we finally move to our final stop in Go's house. That was pretty much of my 3rd day though. Nothing much except for house visitings and makans!!

Just got home not long from yum cha session with Yatz and Zoe after a much exciting Facebook Texas Hold 'em in real life! =P There was fireworks, red crackers and red lanterns everywhere as many Hokkien families are doing their chinese new year "bai tin kong"!! There was one family that lighted up the sky for more than 30minutes for fireworks. I guess those people seriously have too much money to be burn!! Anyways.....

It was holiday for federal territory and I was home for almost the whole day on a chinese new year. Something must be wrong!! How can I stay home and do nothing besides blogging. Anyway, I was having a chat with Zoe on msn before we finally decided to have a random lou sang gathering at her place. We started calling people and those who came was Ren, Sandra, Yee Hou and Nicholas. Yatz came later to join us for CNY "activity". Zoe's brother joined the fun later on and regretted greatly for he should have continued his assignments in his friend's house!! LOL =D (You know why)

Pick of the day was Sandra won the round when she called the bid with "2" and "3" in hand without any pairs when the 5th card was revealed. The best part was everyone fold without any pairs and eventually lost the round to the smallest ever single card you can ever get!! How exciting!! Is this what we call beginner's luck?? LOL

2nd day of Chinese New Year is rather predictable though. Relatives (mom's side). Went to my popo's house to meet up with my cousins and uncle aunties. My 2nd uncle and auntie prepared nasi lemak (again) for lunch!! At night, we had dinner together @ Hei Loi Tang Restaurant in Seri Kembangan/Serdang.

It's the year of Ox. My year. And it's finally here!!

As usual, the first visit of day 1 of chinese new year would be my dad's good friend's house (also his boss) @ Bukit Jelutong. There we would have super yummilicious lunch prepared and this year we had Nasi Lemak on top of the usual wax duck and sausage, steamed chicken and etc.

Right after the scrumptious lunch, my sisters and I headed to Times Square to grab some stuffs before going back home and wait for my other cousins to come (dad's side).

3 years ago, we started an annual Sing K session at Neway and this year is no exception. On the 1st day of chinese new year, my sisters and I together with my 3 cousin brothers will go for a buffet sing K session at Neway and this year we had another group of "Wong" which were good friends of ours as well to join us!! Best! Super fun!! We sang from 7pm all the way to 4am. As for me, I already closed shop by 12midnight!! haha..

Gong Xi Fatt Chai!! Blessed Chinese New Year to everyone!!! Woke up at 8.00am and had a pretty cozy breakfast with my family. Then, we jammed again!!! Super early in the morning to battle it out the the drum rolls banging across my neighbourhood!! Lion dance and fire crackers everywhere!!! What a way to start the morning. My eldest sis played the piano while my 2nd sis strums the classical guitar as my dad brushing up back his old time goodies with the acoustic and me jamming the newly bought electric guitar!! wakakka... We simply bang our instruments off!!

Just got home from mini cell gathering. A pretty cozy 5 person of dinner & monopoly. Thanks Osbert for the pretty dinner and Michael for the wine.

Played a new version of a very classic game which is monopoly "US Edition". It was pretty cool as I have not been playing this game for like dunno how many years!! LOL =D Anyway, just realised that those days when we were younger, all the rules and game plans are pretty much invalid. In addition to that, this is a more serious business-game!! A little practical in life if we have that amount of money in life though!! LOL (Each of us started with US$15million.

Just got home not long from a yum cha session @ IndoMee SS2 with the rest after the first Nuffnang Movie Screening of the year premiering Underworld - Rise of the Lycans @ Cineleisure. Well, the movie ok la.. not too bad... 6.5/10.

Anyways, last Saturday, I met up with Alice and Denise in Mid Valley for lunch @ Delicious. The only thing I like to eat there is their pasta. Ironically, I ordered fish n chips while both of them ate pasta. LOL =D

Just after I finished my meal I heard chinese drums banging. *sign of lion dance* I'm quite a lion dance freak though. Whenever I hear the drums, I'll start hunting for them. I still remember when I was younger, I used to cycle around my taman to find the lion dance performance when I heard the drums from my house. LOL =D

Just came home from photoshoot @ Sepang International Circuit this morning and will be shooting another event @ Loft KL Asian Heritage Row later. Am trying to get use to my new D300!! At the mean time, here's a shot I took with 300mm f2.8 VR nikon lens!! =D

Have finally decided that I might be selling off my Nikon D40. Package is (18-55mm f3.5-5.6 kit lens + 1 new bag + tripod + 2 2G memory card + 2 original EL9 nikon batteries + 1 wide and micro converter). Price has yet to be confirmed though =D Anyone?? So far, 2 person interested!!

.150109. Nikon D300 - Welcome Home

The old has gone (but not forgotten), the new has come. It's almost unbelievable and it was a split second dream for me when firstI got my hands on my new Nikon D300 just hours ago. Finally, that dream of mine came true and went home with me was my highly anticipated camera that I bought from YL Camera shop in Pudu Plaza.

My old nikon d40 has been serving me superbly well for the past 10 months when I first picked up photography back in March 08' and it's time to move a step higher. The desire to go further and the requirement of a better quality photo prompted me to get a new body and blessings from heaven came at the perfect timing. And I mean REAL perfect timing!! =D That's how I got my new D300.

Anyway, just a tribute to my old faithful d40 that has been with me for the past 10 months, I'll just post up abit of my photos that I've taken with it high and low and across the ocean!! =D

And so, after just 3 hours of sleep or so, I got up 8.00 am and get ready to kick start the long day with my CLAP Training Day #2 @ SIBKL. Got up with good start preparing worship songs for the program later and brought along my white Tanglewood guitar. I was a little rusty with the chords though since I have not been playing as often as I did back in my highschool days. Anyway, worship went well though and Ps Lee Choo's teaching was superb where she touched on the topic "worship".

At 11.30am, I left church and rushed my way to Impiana KLCC Hotel & Spa to finally begin my journey as one of the official bloggers for Malaysian Dreamgirl Season 2. It was the final stop of the season's audition after completing 3 in Penang, Ipoh and Johor last month. It was great to see many turned up to give themselves a shot to become the next Malaysian Dreamgirl. At least, they wanto grab this opportunity to achieve their dream of becoming a model. Updates on Malaysian Dreamgirl audition will be done in another post entry.

The entire audition including the final briefing for all successful candidates ended about 6.45pm and I rushed home to charge my flash batteries for the night's photoshoot in ZOUK KL again. This time, it was an event that features a world renowned DJ. Apparently, he is the world's no 1 DJ and he's non other than DJ Armin Van Buuren. Just less than an hour resting at home, I continued my busy schedule rushing down to Zouk KL for the highly anticipated shoot so to speak. I knew it was going to be a crazy jam packed night in Zouk's main room. That night I saw many of my friends there as well!!

I was supposed to stay back till 3.00am that night though but I know I'll die if I do that coz I have to wake up the next morning at 6.00.am as I'm on PM duty in church which requires me to reach church by 7.00am and I have CLAP Training final session that day which means I'll be staying in church from 7.00am - 6.00pm. LOL!! Therefore, I left Zouk at about 1.00am to give myself a break and sufficient rest!!

Mom's Birthday

.090109. Happy Birthday to Mom!!

Alright, here's the thing. I've been super packed last weekend Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Had one of the busiest schedule in 3 days. Last Friday was my mom's birthday and I didn't managed to celebrate with her this time round =( But my sis and I did manage to give her a surprised balloon and flower in her office!! (Though she warned us not to waste money buying those stuffs that cannot last) haha.. mom.....

On Friday afternoon I was my grandma's driver and later that night I had my CLAP Training Part 1 (Cell Leader Advance Program) in church from 8.00pm - 10.30pm. Then I rushed off to my cell leader's house in Aman Suria to officially informed my cell members that I've started a blog for Goshen and the purpose I started it. Right after that, I flew down to KL, not literally, for a photoshooting event in ZOUK KL as there was this invited DJ known as Sister Bliss!!

My night only ended around 4am when I reached home before I eventually get to sleep at about 5.00am after sending a long winded email to my cell members. The next thing I know is I have to get up in the morning at 8.00am to continue my CLAP Training which begins at 9.30am.

I was having a chat with Nigel this afternoon and it was a pretty random chat. However, there was something he mentioned that struck my thought. YA Blog. Why Not? =D

I just came home from my Goshen core member's first meeting of the year to discuss about the plan and also review on last year's activities. We had quite a good discussion and thoughts exchange. When I came home, I didn't know why, my mind just prompted me to create a blog for my cell. I came up with a pretty plain template from blogspot, organised everything properly and decide to share it with my members tomorrow. I believe deep down in my heart, hopefully and finger crossed, this new blog will bring a whole new purpose and dimension to both my Goshen cell members in one way or another. It would be an online space where we can share our testimonies as well as to keep the memories of our activities throughout the year and the days to come =) Who knows?? Someone out there would probably be touched deeply in such a way in times of need?? At least, I had that experience before when some of my reader thank me for some thoughtful posts =D

Just last month, Alice told me about this Shelter Home Desktop Calendar Charity Project and I thought it would be really nice to have one calendar for 2009 and at the same time, make a small donation to them. I told Alice about it and she bought me one calendar. In fact, she said she is going to mail it to me just last Saturday and today I received it already!! It was a gift from her with a small note behind the yellow kitty card saying "Hey Andrew, Thanks for being such a great friend! May God bless you ever more abundantly so that you could continue to bless others. Take care! =) -Alice Teh- Jan 2009". I was so encouraged by the message and thanks Alice!! for the sweet little thoughtful gift!!

New Year Eve Birthday + Countdown

.311208. Aaron's 22nd Birthday + Thomas Annual Countdown @ Duta Vista

5 days have gone since the dawn of a brand new year!! 2008 is a year to remember and 2009 is defintely a year of uncertainty to look forward to. I'm sure most of us had different parties and countdowns on the night where town is packed with cars and people. In fact, all the various countdown hotspots like One Utama, Sunway and The Curve was surely filled with sea of humans.

This time round, I had a different experience and it was a home party!! Of course, we were there to celebrate our dear CincauHangus 22nd birthday! Thanks Aaron and Thomas for inviting us to the lovely service apartment in Duta Vista!! I'm sure most of us, if not all, had fun!! I bet Kelz and Mae had the most fun!! LOL *hints - they drank the most i think*

That night, we had lotsa food and drinks, house music and most importantly, we had a few bottles of liquors. Well, at least, those are to boost the excitement and fun for that night. We had some really fun games that night though, drinking games. We started of with the ring of "Domo-kun", game mastered by dear Kel Li!! Our dearest Cincau was already half GG by the 8th card... (Sorry for picking up the last K for you though) hehe.. Then Dillon led us into another super funny and fast game which was "bing-bang-wah" game. I felt very sorry for Kel Li and Mae who kena the most!! At least, the both of you enjoyed the drinks right?? Haha..

When the clock struck 12, all of us had a new year toast and then, back to our drinking games. By 1+, Kel Li, Mae, Aaron, Chung Lern were declared GG'ed!! =P Went off about 2am though. Thanks Joshua for snapping away most of the photos that night though!!

Atone 2009 Impartation

It's really a year of increasing capacity and Ps Lee Choo is all set to build up our character and determination to make 2009 and beyond a better worship team!! To start things off, thanks to Andrew William for putting up everything together for our first bi-monthly gathering this year with the theme "Pasta & Salad". It's all about getting together as one team to worship the Lord as well as having some fun time and food together. Our aim; to achieve unity and teamwork with one another!! I'm sure it will help all of us to bond together more closely =)

This afternoon, Ps Lee Choo imparted to us words of encouragement and wisdom as we began our new year. Psalm 121:1-2 says, "I lift up my eyes to the hills - where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth." Just before that, Emmanuel led us with a fun ice breaker where he have to untangle ourselves into a big circle. We were also given a chance to ask Larry, our new worship leader, 3 difficult questions.. LOL Blanche led us with a time of worship. Finally, after Ps Lee Choo's impartation, we all headed to the canteen for some really yummy homemade pastas, salads, lagsagne and many more...

Tribute Birthday To Him

.020109. Happy Birthday to my Late Buddy

2nd of January 1985 was the birthday of a highly respected leader in both 1st Kuala Lumpur Boys' Brigade Company and Methodist Boys' Secondary School. 23rd of January 2003 was the day he was called home to be with the Lord in heaven!! He is also a very encouraging brother to his friend and he is definitely a very passionate child of God who never fails to jam with his guitar to offer Jesus his best praises. He is more than a buddy to me. He is my brother and his name is Teong Wee aka [endless]despair.

Today is the birthday of my late brother (one of my best buddy) and I just want to wish him a blessed birthday in heaven!! In 3 weeks time, 23/01/09 will be the 6th year since he has left us back here to be united with God in heaven. Every 2nd and 23rd of January, I specially dedicate this 2 days in rememberance of him!! And everytime I think of him, it always bring back those fond memories and nostalgia moments when we were back in our highschool days, playing band together and learning guitar together in the Boys' Brigade. I still remember the first song you thought me to play. It was "Heart of Worship"!! Thanks bro for even pushing me to learn it up!! =D

Well, 6 years has gone and I'm pretty sure you are enjoying yourself with the Lord!! Jam with the Lamb!! Just another dedication for you =) *cheerios* miss you lots and I'm pretty sure the rest of the 'endless' buddies missed you as much as I did.

This is the 1st post of the year and of course I would like to wish all my friends out there a very blessed New Year!! 2008 has come to an end and just before I usher the new year in, I thought it would be great just to reflect back of all the bits and pieces that I have been through this year, and thank God for all that has happened!! I believe everything does happen for a reason and it takes time before we finally realise the why's behind the what's that has happened.

2008 has been a very eventful year for me and the most significant changes of my life this year has to be me, serving in the worship ministry in SIBKL, attending cell group every Friday in Goshen, started to blog and hanging around in the blogosphere, photography is also an obvious new found talent this year and most importantly, getting closer to God and to being in the right path is what I continue to hope and cling on to.

In this 2008 chronology post entry, I will bring out some of the best activity and event together with some photos to reflect back of all the things I've been through this year and thank God for them. After all, as my blog title explains, it's about momentz of my life...

January

This is the month where I began to join cell group in SIBKL and thank God for placing me in Goshen, where I found the members has been really encouraging to me and helped me to grow alot this year! It also marked the start of my new blog where back then it was http://momentzofmylife.blogspot.com/. What inspired me to blog was the interest in web design and photography that I learned back then when I was working as an internship in a web solution company. By month end, I finally got hold of my new dlsr camera, a Nikon d40! And my photography began then...

February

My passion for photography began to grow as I had my new camera to play with and one of my very first so called "masterpiece" was taken during an outing to Chiling Waterfall in KKB where I shot a photo of a spider!! It's also the month where I started to find interest in collecting coca cola from around there world; simply because it's one of the cheapest form of souvenir we can get from overseas!! =D On the same month, I also first tasted the fun and thrill of water rafting in KKB together with some of my unimates and seriously, I have to think twice now whether to do it again or not if I were to have another plan on that! +D

March is pretty significant as it was then, I made my decision to join the worship ministry in church and attended the audition and interview. Praise the Lord for passing me!! =D It was also the time when I first got a chance to experience my first ever "photoshoot" when I was invited by my sifu to shoot for a fashion show in Zouk KL organised by Nottingham University. Apart from that, I also began to do alot of shooting for self improvement!! Visiting orphanage in Puchong was also a first time experience in my life then. Lotsa fun!!

The month I was officially accepted into the worship ministry and also invited to the Malaysian Dreamgirls Season 1 Finale @ One Utama. During this time, my church and cell also kicked start the Cat & Dog Theology which was very good!! Had lotsa outings and trips like paintball and hiking!

One of the most eventful month of the year!! It's the month where Man Utd beat Chelsea in a super dramatic final of the EUFA Champions League in Moscow!! I attended Hillsong United's concert too with the ticket no 0001 @ Glad Tidings PJ. It's also the month where I had the most photoshoot with my unimates in Cyberjaya, Putrajaya and Malacca!! It was also in May when I first attended a bloggers gathering with the KSCB gang in Kelana Jaya's Talipon Steamboat Restaurant!! I had another fashion shoot in One Utama the same month and the most significant experience during this time of my life was when a few of us flew to Kota Kinabalu for a 5 days 4 nights trip to conquer Mount Kinabalu and had fun in the sandy beaches with crystal clear waters!!

It's the month where I started my real full time job in Pico and it was also the time when I realise that sleep is very important! Haha... I was also invited once again by Nuffnang, specifically Robb, to the practise session of Chelsea's training just before they take on our national squad!! More and more photoshoots and Henessy Artistry was happening then as well!

But I am still hosting it through blogspot.com. Will only decide to get a hosting sometime later!!=D PC Fair II was happening then where I was part of the official contractor and Passion World Tour was also happening then which I missed the chance of going which I eventually make up for it in October. The month of Beijing Olympics when we almost got the chance to clinch our first nation's gold, only to be shattered into pieces by LinDan without any mercy... One of the very funtastic month of course as I resigned from my work in Pico after 3 months when I realise it's slowly eating up my weekend time and commitment in church. Anyway, it was also one of the best time of the year when I flew to Hong Kong with my sister to attend the Passion World Tour Conference that I missed back then in August!! For the first time, I went to Disneyland!! =D Another added blessing was it was our cell multiplication as well and praise God for that!! I was heavy hearted but all of us knew it was neccessary =D Our church had YA Camp @ Kajang Country Heights and I had my first food sampling/review invitation the same month! =D

I believe it's like the best time of the year where holiday and festive seasons surround us with joy and fun!! Was in Singapore with my grandma to visit my sister and hang around with a few bloggers and get mesmerised with the night lights and Christmas deco across the street of Orchard Road and Clarke Quay. Enjoyed the most anticipated worship duty on Christmas Day itself and love the first ever Christmas production movie by SIBKL this year entitled The Shoebox Tale!! Praise God for all the 200+ salvations and redidication we had!! Chosen to be the official blog contributor for Malaysian Dreamgirls Season 2 and for the first time ever, I worship led and emcee my cell member's wedding dinner reception @ Sierramas West Clubhouse!! Enjoyed a whole new experience of Christmas eve in Osbert's residence with a few other worship team members!! I even hosted ShoutOut Year End Gathering this year in my house!!

I believe my chronology is not even half what what had happened throughout the year but for everything that has happened, I really thank God for them and I know that He has a bigger plan and purpose for me in the days to come!! This year has been great in one way or another and I'll be looking forward to 2009 where I will see change in my life tremendously for sure!! Many catching up to do, new phase in life, more responsibilities, new working environment, planning, church commitments, family relationship, friendship, brother and sisterhood, self improvement and development, financial stability, and above all that, walk with God and increasing my own faith capacity is ultimately the most important goal in 2009 and beyond!! =D

Never imagined that my post #111 would be a fast update with only WORDS and no photos~ Something that I rarely or perhaps I would do only once in a blue moon.

Anyway, I just got home from a quick drink at Starbucks Coffee @ Centre Point with Brenda & Olivia. Was emcee'ing for Rueben and Jasmine wedding reception @ Sierramas West Club House. I was also the worship leader for this joyous occasion and believe me, it was my first time experience though in both worship leading and emcee'ing in a wedding dinner. *coolies*

Thanks to all who commented on the boxing day post and I finally came into a conclusion that the true meaning of Boxing Day is really "to pack the additional gifts and foods that we are blessed with to the underprivileged people". I wonder how many of us really practised that?? At least, in church, what we did was we had a special Christmas offerings that we collect to bless the BM pastors that served so ever well for the Lord and what a season to bless them with what God has blessed us with =)

Christmas this year was fun!! We had an awesome worship experience in church and as usual, church is packed this time of the year and message was great!! And for the first time in so many years, I received some gifts in church from some of my worship team and cell members!! Thank God for such a wonderful Christmas experience!! It's really not about the gift though, but the heart and love that was shared to me =)

2008 is coming to an end and it's time usher the new year!! 2009 will be a great year and I believe something great and a whole new experience awaits...

Christmas eve this year was a little different!! I had a whole new cozy experience of Christmas eve celebration with some of my worship team members and the night was super fun and jolly with home cooked carbonara, home made char siew, white and red wine, lemonade with beer shandy, nachos with different types of cheeses, games, christmas songs, and most importantly, a very warm bonding with brothers and sisters in Christ!!

I just got home not long and I thought it would be nice to post up my Christmas photo for today and wish all my family, friends, relatives, readers, visitors, bloggers that I know of and I don't know, brothers and sisters in Christ and everyone out there a very blessed Christmas 08!!

Just got home not long from Christmas practise in church and I'm pretty tired though. Couldn't make it for yum cha tonight coz it was abit late already. Anyway, will be going for famous Nasi Lemak with Ren tomorrow if my practise does not end that late then.

Today I attended my church's first ever Christmas movie production entitled Shoe Box Tale. It was based on a true story and I was truly blessed to have both heard of the testimony as well as watching the movie that based on the true life experience in our community. *applause* to the entire production team and crew of SBT!! A job well done I must say!! =)

Yesterday, ShoutOut had its second Year End Gathering and this time was in my house. The organisers, namely, Satkuru, Saewei, Jess, Steven and Nath certainly did a wonderful job to put all things together. As for me, I just opened my home and did a simple hosting =D Thanks Lasker and Elise for coming all the way from Penang to join us and appreciated the organising team with Dome vouchers. There were about 30 of us last night including Pippo and friends who came only about 11+ =D

As usual, a gathering for bloggers and shouters like us will never be in short of flashing their cameras and making lotsa noises... and even screams... +D Well, I suppose and hope everyone enjoyed themselves and had a fun time with some light dinner, games, snacks and chats!! We were also not short of group photos as well and I think I have more than 50 shots only on group photo!! Thanks Sandra for helping us snap it away and being so ever patient with us as we took our time to pose.. LOL =D

Some of us left about 12+ and SOYEG only came to an end at about 1am ++ after a few rounds of lame jokes and IQ questions!! That's all from SOYEG 08' and we'll look forward to SOYEG 09 next year!! *cheerios*

Yesterday was a funtastic night for me though. First of all, I attended Praise Sanctuary's Christmas Dinner @ Jun Kee Restaurant in Taman Midah, Cheras. There, I joined a karaoke contest and won 1st place!! Woohooo~ Thanks Sandra for inviting and Grace for pushing me all the way to participate.. LOL

Then, I went to Zouk KL for some event and I improved my shooting skill for a club event!! Yeay!! Well, there's still so much more to improve on though.

.081208. Singapore Trip Update #4 @ Sentosa Island

Had a long day yesterday so did not update +D Went for a new club opening (Warehouse) in Jalan P Ramlee and shoot some photos till about 2am. *yawnnnn*

Anyway, here's the continuation of my Singapore trip and let me introduce you to my new favourite in Singapore; McDonalds' Breakfast "Mega McGriddles"!! It's a double meat layer with egg and the burger bun is filled with honey. (Warning!: Some ppl might not like it.. LOL) But for me, it's fantabulous!! Hahaha... They also have it in single meat one.

My 2nd day in Singapore was a day out with some of the blogger who came down from KL as well and we headed to Sentosa Island after a quick lunch in Kim Gary @ Vivo City. I had stone rice though. First time trying it. Thanks to Sandra who know a friend in the Dolphin lagoon, we got to enjoy a fun experience watching the dolphins' performance and also a chance of a lifetime (not) to touch and take photo with them =D Best!! However, the sad part was it was almost raining, drizzling the whole day on our day out in Singapore =( We still had fun anyway...

Atone Christmas Dinner

.141208. Atone Christmas Dinner @ Euro Deli, Jalan Yap Kwan Seng

Last Sunday, my church's worship ministry had an early Christmas celebration at Euro Deli. It was certainly a cozy restaurant to celebrate Christmas especially and the food there was delicious too!! Euro Deli is famous for their sausages and their other western dishes is also good!! After that night, my sister has decided to treat my family for a Christmas dinner on the 26th of December!! Yeahoooo~ More sausages for me! =D

And so, last Sunday I was the official photographer for the party and we reached there at about 5.30pm to prepare the table gifts and also setting up of the PA systems. The team really put up alot of effort even weeks before the dinner to ensure everyone enjoy the best out of it... *applause* to the "Weeks Before Christmas* team!!

Everyone had lots of fun watching teams being pinalised for not submitting their photo entries which cost them a dance in front of everyone =D LOL... All of us had a scrumptious dinner and the pop quiz added excitement for the night!! Party ended after announcing 3 of the most important award of the night which was Ms Ownership (Jin May), Mr Respect (Paul) and Ms Encouragement (Joanna Chin). The weeks before christmas assignments winning group is non other than "The Red Nose Reindeer". Congratulations to all other winners as well and good job again to the organising team members!!

Last Saturday, Christmas Vacation Bible School of Praise Sanctuary continued its final day at Permaisuri Lake Garden, Cheras. It was a pretty hot and sunny day but I believe all the kids had fun though!! =D

Let's take a break from my Singapore trip update and shift to my photoshoot last weekend. Only 2 post and I'll continue back with my Singapore updates... +D

Do you still remember, when you are still young and innocent, what are the activities or camps that you have went or attended to? I can only remember of few though, but I think I went more than that. Haha..

Last Friday and Saturday, I was helping out in Praise Sanctuary's Christmas Vacation Bible School as their photographer. Looking at children from as young as 3 years old brings back the fond memories when I was still a kid, living innocently and without any worries or stress. Seeing them having fun made me feel so at peace and I enjoyed every bit playing with them, forgetting my purpose to shoot photo then.. LOL

Just got home not long from my church's worship ministry's Christmas dinner @ Euro Deli at Jalan Yap Kwan Seng. Had a fantastic night with the rest and shooting away as the official photographer =D More photos soon..

Today is also the audition date for Malaysian Dreamgirl at Ipoh's Impiana Casuarina Hotel after yesterday's @ Penang Bayview Hotel. As one of the official blog contributor for Malaysian Dreamgirl Season 2, I am already looking forward to the KL's audition happening on the 10th of January 2009 @ Impiana KLCC Hotel & Spa.

.071208. Singapore Trip Update #2 @ HippoTour + Sentosa Island

Still continuing my first day itenary and it's hippotour on the bus that brought us to Sentosa Island continued with view from the bus across Bugis and Orchard Road. The bus departed from CityHall at about 6pm and the entire tour took us about 3 hours and 15 minutes including a laser light performance in Sentosa Island's Song of The Sea.

Cafe Cartel Pork Ribs

.071208. Singapore Trip Update #1 @ Cafe Cartel + Citylink Mall

Last Sunday, I was away to Singapore with my grandma to visit my sister. We went by bus and I got to tell you that First Coach was really comfortable yet reasonable. My journey down south was pretty cool that morning. Reached Singapore at about 1pm + and took a cab to my sis home in Tampines.

My trip finally began with my "without-fail-meal" at Cafe Cartel; the cafe that serves one of the best ribs there!! Yummy!! However, I felt that the sauce was a little too sweet this time round! Anyways, still, I enjoyed a scrumptuous lunch with my granny and sis. Later, we stopped at City Hall to take a hippo tour (hop on tour bus that brings you around the city). Just before that, my sis treated me around of ice cream in this new Japanese concept outlet which name is called "Marvelous Icecream". Not too bad!! I only like the concept cause it's special, where they mix the icecream + other stuffs in front of you! Hehe..

Here's the thing...

Now back to where I left off... Last Saturday, I went for 2 Christmas parties. The first one was in Jason's house at 3pm while the latter one was in Sai Kit's house. Had great food, fun carols and of course, a wonderful story about the "Cradle of Life"!! The true meaning of Christmas unveiled. In John 3:16, it says "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life". The greatest truth I've ever known!! Hehehe.. And of course singing Christmas carols is always fun!!

KL Street Shoot

As mentioned, I was with CincauHangus and Stephanie yesterday for a street photoshoot in KL town, mainly petaling street and we walked around town area, from puduraya to Masjid Jamek and then to Pasar Seni. It was quite a fun outing and shooting away though but there's so much more to learn from him =D

Anyway, we started off having lunch at famous lorong in Petaling Street. I wanted to eat the famous yummilicious pan mee which never open, so, I have to settle with Hakka mee. Cincau had ja jeong mee while Steph had wan tan mee. Right after our yummy meal, we started our walk which lasted a good 3.5 hours. Something I learned from Cincau was, SHOOT WHATEVER YOU FEEL LIKE SHOOTING!! *thanks for lifting up my confidence level*

Yesterday, I went to Telok Gong's Coconut Flower Seafood Restaurant for lunch with my family. My aunt just came back from Hong Kong, so we thought of bringing her to that place to try some seafood!! =D really cheap...

I certainly had came a long way since I first started photography with a DSLR back in February 2008. In fact, it was my very first own camera that I bought. I never regretted when I chose DSLR over a compact camera after listening to much advises and suggestions. Although I am still very noob and a newbie to photography, I sure did enjoy a lot of friendship that I found through photography. Learning is always never ending and I'm still learning to be better.

Last Saturday I had a photoshoot in Mandarin Oriental with a few photographers cum bloggers and I have a few random shots here just before I go sleep. Very tired indeed and I'm looking forward for a random Petaling Street photoshooting tomorrow afternoon with Aaron Ho the CincauHangus and a few more friends.

I'm not sure if any of you have come across this 2 places for makan but I'm pretty sure if you are staying nearby or if you are a beef noodle hunter, you would have been to Jalan Peel for the yummilicious beef noodle!! Besides, the pork (non-halal) noodle there is also very nice wan!! =D

For nasi lemak freaks, you must try the chinese nasi lemak in Hang Tuah, which open only at night around 9.00pm onwards. People will start q'ing up the moment the auntie starts selling and if you go around 10.00pm, I don't think you'll be able to grab a table.

Yesterday, May and myself went food hunting in these 2 places. Promised her a round of good food which I managed to deliver and not disappoint her. *fuhhh* Luckily... Next round of food hunting will be wan tan mee in Serdang!! Looking for more food hunters to join in the night hunting session!! LOL =D

Just few days ago, I attended an unforgetable food review @ this Japanese BBQ restaurant called Daidomon in Great Eastern Mall. I have to admit that it's one of the best BBQ experiences I ever had!! Well, at least to me though.

Just to brief you guys abit about this fantastic restaurant that stunned my taste buds, it was originally from Singapore with 26 years of history. Mr Stanley Yeoh, the Managing Director of Yakiniku Daidomon thought that it was a niche market in Malaysia and wanted to promote the concept of Japanese Table BBQ that bonds friendship while cooking together. Most importantly, he wanted to share what authentic Japanese Yakiniku is really all about. The word "Yaki" stands for BBQ and "niku" means meat.

With its restaurant's space measuring over 7,200 sqft with 7 VIP rooms totaling up to a good capacity of 300 guests, it's simply on of the bigget Japanese BBQ restaurant in town if it's not the biggest. Daidomon is also fully equiped with the latest Japanese technology BBQ "smoke-free" tables to offer their diners a completely oil-free and smoke-free dining experience which I must it did amazed me the moment we started cooking those BBQ meats!! Simply amazing!!

It doesn't stop there. To me, the highlight of the day has to be its top-grade Wagyu beef which means cattle tat are fed only with corn. Unlike the normal grass-fed cattle, Wagyu beef are so much more tender and it's taste is simply delicious. You can simply differentiate between the two. If you are not a beef-lover, no worries, coz Daidomon also offers a variety of meat (chicken, lamb, deer) and also fresh seafood (scallops, prawns, squid, salmon) and of course some vegetables that ensure you a balance diet. On top of that, diners can also experience a wide range of beers and sake or the simple but never out-of-style green tea. If you like desserts, then you have to try the sesame ice cream. One word, splendid!

What are you waiting for?? It is definitely one of those Japanese BBQ that I would highly recommend you to go. Still not convinced yet?? Their price are fairly reasonable if compared to most of the restaurants out there!! Would like to extend my heartiest congratulations to my worship team member Jane and his newly wed husband Seng Khuay for their blessed day yesterday!! I was in Sime Darby Convention yesterday for their wedding ceremony and of course with our special presentation of a song entitled "The Blessing Song" by Dennis Jernigan, we made her cried on stage!! LOL.. Glad she was touched and happy with little surprise for her.

Anyway, took some photos yesterday but didn't manage to get hold of them yesterday as I was pretty busy myself. Will wait for the photos from the official photographers.

Gosh... Just only yesterday did I mentioned homecook dishes and today I was up for another food review @ Daidomon Japanese BBQ in Great Eastern Mall!! Believe me!! It was one of the best ever, and I really mean BEST EVER, bbq meats I've eaten. Perhaps, I have not explored or experienced others yet but it's "waghyu" beef and it's signature bbq sauce is simply amazing!!

Be sure for a whole new BBQ dine-in experience at Daidomon as I reveal it's specialty and food facts tomorrow!! Sorry cause I just came home from my church's cell meeting and tomorrow morning I have a wedding performance so time to sleep... I'll only be updating about it when I'm home probably late at night tomorrow after my photoshooting in Mandarin Oriental for a corporate dinner.

I know that most of us tend to go out to try new food and do reviews on different kind of food. In fact, we even travel far enough just to get a taste and try out some new restaurants or cafes. Hey!! Why not try our own cooking at home first?? LOL... You'll be surprised what ONE can do!! Of course, with a guide from recipe books, magazine cut-outs or even newspaper cuttings from The Star!! Who knows, you might end up being a great chef one day and open up your very own restaurant!? LOL...

Here's some tips!! Choose the dishes you wanto cook from any recipe cutouts or books, go and buy the ingredients and just follow the steps!! As simple as that!! Talk is cheap right?? Action speaks louder!! Go try it!! Of course, you will need 1 or 2 helpers by the side.. =D

Yesterday night, a bunch of us crashed into Sandra's residence for a food sampling session with our first time experience cook, Sandra!! I went early to shoot the behind-the-scene cooking while the rest came just on time for dinner!! LOL =) In fact, dinner was only ready by 9pm haha..

Hey peeps! Just when everyone is thinking that I'm already in the middle of the sea fishing, I'm NOT!! *sobsss...* Was down with a very severe gastric pain since last night till morning when my dad tried to wake me up for our planned fishing trip... "Sorry dad, but I'm in serious pain!!" And so, my dad has to leave without me this round!!

Thanks everyone for your well wishes and prayers though!! Am feeling better and on a week's medication...

Ok!! Back to business!! Just yesterday, before I got into serious pain, I was in Cafe WIP with a few food freak bloggers for a food sampling session!! Thanks Jolene and Eugene for hosting us and Rahayu for coordinating and Sidney for inviting again!! The rest who were there are May from foodylicious, Ken for foodpoi, Chong from c-onn, Sue from suemeifyoucan, Kelvin the wetwetwater, Joshua from joshuaongs, and Jason from jasonmumbles.

Well, I would say the setting and ambience of WIP is rather cozy and abit dim. The songs played yesterday was rather soothing I would say coz I love oldies. The food they served last night was pretty descent... I personally love the Salmon Steak which was the best dish yesterday!! Highly recommended though. As for the cocktails and detox drinks, it would really be up to different individual on their likings whether it's grassy taste or fruity taste.

Well, if you are looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion with a cool ambience good food with reasonable price, here's the place!!

.221108. Photoshoot @ Putrajaya

Just 2 days ago on Saturday, the same day I went to Lake Garden for photoshoot, I went to Putrajaya at night for a short photoshoot with few other photofreaks... Well, basically, we just wanted to come out and cruise around to chill abit.

I'm not sure how many of us have been to Putrajaya but many friends I know of has not been there before though. Nothing spectacular there just that most government buildings and ministry offices are there and they are brightly litted up at night. The bridges there are also the hang out place for residents there. However, police will sometimes chase you away for the sake of our own safety during the night hours.

Will be going for a fishing trip again on tomorrow and this time is to Pulau Angsa, whever is that for 3 days 2 nights. Dad promised me a fantastic scenery though which I hope he won't disappoint me... LOL =D

Just a few more photos before I move on to Putrajaya photos. Yesterday, after the family shots for Jason and MooiLi with baby Matthew, the boys, excitedly, took a group photo as well just for memories. Soon after we left Lake Gardens, we headed to Petaling Jaya's famous banana leaf rice @ Raju Curry House as recommended by Osbert. The food there are not too bad just the the service a little slow. Good environment and setting though.

Just got home from a morning outing with my Goshen cell members to Lake Gardens. Met at Dino Park @ 9.30 am and we start having fun with swings, slides and other stuffs at the playground. It was a kid's wonderland in fact and we thought the kids would enjoy it =D Definitely a recommended place for a family outing!!

Thanks Michael for organising G2's first outing since multiplication night and we are looking forward for more to come!! Next up will be Christmas party and I believe it would be a super fun day!!

.251008. SIBKL YA Camp @ Kajang Country Heights Villa Pt 2

Last month, I went for a 3 days 2 nights church camp. I've updated the Pt 1 @ Dream Further and now we are skipping the games because I didn't take any pictures then. Well, we enjoyed the games very much though with our respective team named after Malaysian local foods. My team was "ROJAK" of course.

The food there is not bad though especially the soup, it's very nice! After games, it was dinner and after dinner was sharing session by Ps Victor Wong. Right after that, my sister suggested Kajang's Sate and zzzooooommmmmm we go!! 3 cars!! (excluding other camp attendees that we met there)

What Life is Really All About?

*what matters most to you?? think about it...*

Have you ever paused for a moment in the midst of your loneliness, busyness, happiness, sadness or even when you are not thinking about anything, and wonder, what life is really all about?

Is life really only about growing up, go to school, get a degree, pursue a Master or a PhD, enjoy life and hangout with friends, write a good blog, be famous, get a great job, be successful, start a family, raise your kids, see them grow and be successful, retire, enjoy your EPF, grow old and DIE??

Is it that simple??

Or do you think life is only a journey on earth and Heaven is our true destination?? Unless some of us think that hell is a better place then go ahead... Have you ever even think of how only will I be able to enter Heaven??

When I was young, I always have this thought of 'no matter what, we will die one day and I know that "that day" has to come!! and what will happen after that??'... Seriously I don't know. I often cry on my bed then, when I stuck myself with that thought. *having a deep thought already?*

It was until one day when I was on my way to school in the morning, while I was in the car and my dad fetching me, that I found one great truth. I was having the thought again of dying and never ever being able to escape from it and i cried in the car.

My dad turned to me and ask, "Why are you crying?". I told him that I was afraid of death and I do not know what is going to happen the day I have to leave this world.

There are so many things on Earth that is so dear to us that we will be so heavy hearted to leave them right??? Hope you are having the same thought with me right now though.

My dad finally answered me with this, "Son, we have a hope that God has promised us. We shall have no fear for Jesus has conquered death the day he died on the cross for our sins. In John 3:16, it says *For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life*".

From that moment on, I kept the promise from God that my dad reminded me about. That day forth, I have no fear of death anymore for I know where Jesus leads me to. I now have a purpose in life; to serve Him on earth for the advancement of His Kingdom in Heaven. That's what life is really all about; at least to me... =)

2 days ago, few of us went to Telok Gong for seafood and I'm pretty sure that most of us heard of "Coconut Flower Restaurant" when we mentioned seafood in Telok Gong, if some of us have not been there before. The last time I went was I think about a year ago already.

Thanks to "those" who stay in USJ and didn't know the way to Telok Gong, our dinner was pretty much delayed by 1 hour!! Summit USJ's jam is really vey terrible!! It took almost 30 minutes for Carol just to make a U-turn which is just about 300metres away...

Anyway, thank God, all us survived through our hunger and reached Telok Gong at about 9.00pm. I think we ordered like 12 dishes for 11 person; to me, it was a bit too much!! haha.. All of us had a great time there though laughing through the dinner. Of course, with the presence of camho queen, Karena and funny face king WaiSeng, you are bound to stuck with plenty of laughing through the night!!

As mentioned in my previous post, SOULed OUT has quite a good collection of desserts and cocktails. Their best selling Lava Cake is simply amazing and the best part is they only use Haagen Dazz's ice creams =D

Here's the cake that I've mentioned and also Azian, the Master of Intoxication, holding the Malibu Sunrise and Lemon Lychee Martini...

Salak South Char Siew Rice

It has been a crazy week with 6 char siew rice in 7 days. In fact, I have another packet on the 8th day yesterday. Anyway, last Saturday, 2 of my loyal char siew hunters, WaiSeng and Karena, together with Gary, we went to Salak South's yummilicious char siew.

On the same day, WaiSeng and I finally got hold of the 55-200VR after much thoughts before heading down to CapSquare for Celcom's Xpax event that showcased many street art like spray paint, hiphop dancing and event street basketball and football that saw WaiSeng, Gary and myself in the cage for 1 on 1 battle. And of course, many photos taken but I was left without my camera coz my sis taken it for church event.

A Boy, A Doll and A White Rose

Something I read today that touched my heart deeply and I thought it's a very meaningful story of a little boy to share with all of you...

Read it through till the end... I hope it will touch your heart as well...

I was walking around in a Target store, when I saw a Cashier hand this little boy some money back.

The boy couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 years old..

The Cashier said, 'I'm sorry, but you don't have enough money to buy this doll.'

Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: ''Granny, are you sure I don't have enough money?'' The old lady replied: ''You know that you don't have enough money to buy this doll, my dear.''

Then she asked him to stay there for just 5 minutes while she went to look a round. She left quickly. The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand.

Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to. 'It's the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much for Christmas. She was sure that Santa Claus would bring it to her.'

I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus would bring it to her after all, and not to worry. But he replied to me sadly. 'No, Santa Claus can't bring it to her where she is now.

I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there.'

His eyes were so sad while saying this. 'My Sister has gone to be with God.

Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister.''

My heart nearly stopped.

The little boy looked up at me and said: 'I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall.'

Then he showed me a very nice photo of him where he was laughing. He then told me 'I want mommy to take my picture with her so she won't forget me.' '

I love my mommy and I wish she doesn't have to leave me, but daddy says that she has to go to be with my little sister.' Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.

I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. 'Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll?'' 'OK' he said, 'I hope I do have enough.' I added some of my money to his with out him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.

The little boy said: 'Thank you God for giving me enough money!'

Then he looked at me and added, 'I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give It to my sister.

He heard me!''

'I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn't dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose.''

'My mommy loves white roses.'

A few minutes later, the old lady returned and I left with my basket. I finished my shopping in a totally different state from when I started. I couldn't get the little boy out of my mind.

Then I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young woman and a little girl.

The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma.

Was this the family of the little boy?

Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news paper that the young woman had passed away. I couldn't stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was exposed for people to see and make last wishes before her burial.

She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.

I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed forever..

The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is still, to this day, hard to imagine. And in a fraction of a second, a drunk driver had taken all this away from him.
